At the heart of the company is the Yali First Response Drone Network a system of strategically placed autonomous docking stations that keep drones charged, stocked and ready to deploy 24/7. In the event of an emergency event, Yalis drone takes off from its base with supplies, and delivers relief materials to the affected area, and collects vital data which can be used by disaster response teams. Yali is led by Founder & CEO Dinesh Baluraj, who brings over 12 years of experience in aircraft design, UAV fabrication and BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) flight operations, having led projects across the world. He is joined by Co-Founder Anugraha Ganesan, whose expertise in drone piloting, flight operations, type certification and logistics management keeps Yali’s missions safe, compliant and efficient. Together they are focused on strengthening India’s drone-manufacturing sector and extending healthcare infrastructure into underserved rural areas.
Yali Aerospace is backed by Sridhar Vembu, Padma Shri awardee and Founder & CEO of Zoho Corporation, a technologist known for relocating operations into rural India to create local employment and opportunity; and by Amrita TBI, which has both incubated and invested in the company.
