MeitY Startup Hub GENESIS Pilot Program Overview

Amrita Technology Business Incubator is one of the select implementing agencies by the MeitY Startup Hub, Government of India. The GENESIS Pilot Program would provide a funding up to Rs. 40,00,000 to enable startups to validate and demonstrate their market-ready solutions through pilot projects with corporates, PSUs, and large enterprises.

The startup must have a Pilot work order/ Purchase order from eligible corporate/PSU/unicorn to qualify for this funding.

Amrita TBI is a non-profit startup incubator supported by Govt. of India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham that funds, mentors and nurtures ideas, startups and entrepreneurs.

Funding Provided

Support the scaling of selected startups with a funding of up to ₹40 lakhs, based on their scope and requirements. Valid Pilot work order/ Purchase order eligible corporate/PSU/unicorn needed to qualify.

Eligible corporates (Pilot Partners) must have a minimum turnover of ₹75 crore or more in the last audited financial year and at least five years of operational history. Preference will be given to Government of India or State Government entities, PSUs, Fortune 500 companies, large Indian or global corporates, and unicorn startups.

Bridge the gap between Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and commercialization, while strengthening industry–startup collaboration in ICT, AI, electronic manufacturing, and deeptech sectors.

About MeitY Startup Hub

MeitY Startup Hub, Government of India has envisaged an umbrella scheme called GENESIS (Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups) with a budget of Rs. 490 Crores for 5 years to discover, support, grow and accelerate successful startups in Tier-II and Tier-III cities with emphasis on collaborative engagement among startups, government, and corporates for promoting digitization based on the principals of inclusivity, accessibility, affordability, leading to growth in employment and economic outputs. Amrita TBI will implement the GENESIS scheme on behalf of MSH. This scheme envisages further scaling up and sustaining the tech ecosystem especially to discover, support, grow and make successful startups. The program envisages impacting and consolidating 10,000+ tech start-ups over the course of the next 5 years to pave the road for an inclusive startup ecosystem.

Are you Eligible?

Startup Eligibility

1. Startups will receive funding up to ₹40 lakhs.
2. Must have a Pilot work order/ Purchase order from eligible corporate/PSU/unicorn.
3. Must be a DPIIT-registered startup.
4. The startup must have the potential for scalability and create a measurable impact, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
5. Must have an MVP/working prototype, viable business plan, full-time founder/co-founder.
6. Should be working in ICT-related domains: IT & AI, electronic design & manufacturing, tech/deeptech products.
7. They should not be a beneficiary of TIDE 2.0 scale-up or SAMRIDH.

Yellow Messenger has created a conversational AI- driven platform to solve the problem of poor customer experiences made for customer support globally by developing a voice bot. The founders had deployed the voice bots for over 700 companies including Amazon as their potential customer. The funds will be used to upgrade their existing technology and establish their presence in the U.S market.
