Alison Richards is a Director of Marketing at Intel Corporation’s Global Marketing Communications, focusing on Internet of Things. Previously, Alison drove strategy and marketing focused on the education vertical in Intel Education, focused on product marketing of educational products for K-8 students. Alison has held a variety of roles: Director of the Cisco Alliance; Director of Worldwide Portfolio Relations at Intel Capital; and in
Intel’s Content Group, where she managed marketing and international business development programs for 4 years, focusing on consumer software and internet content. She and her team assisted software developers enter emerging markets, such as China, Brazil, Russia and India. Previously, Alison held positions in Intel’s Corporate
Marketing Group in Advertising and Direct Contact Marketing. She joined Intel in 1993. Alison has held board observer positions for Intel at StarMedia Networks and
MaMaMedia.
Alison was previously at The Santa Cruz Operations (SCO) for four years, as International Sales and Marketing Manager for Pacific, Asia and Latin America.
Prior to SCO, Alison worked at UCSF’s International Health Programs, delivering management training and program management to health professionals from
developing countries. She holds a M.B.A. in International Management and a BA in Language Studies, with a minor in History. Alison speaks Spanish, French,
Portuguese and beginning Chinese and Japanese.
