Amrita TBI Pitchfest is a platform for startups to showcase their ideas, qualify to receive a total seed investment up to USD 100,000 and get incubation space at Amrita TBI.

Pitchfest is a unique initiative by Amrita TBI and partnered by Govt. of India, NASSCOM 10K, Indian Angel Network and FreshersWorld to find the most promising startups in India. Amrita TBI was listed among the Top-5 most prolific incubators for 2014-15 in the country by The Economic Times.

Some of the notable judges and speakers from the past editions of the event include Esther Dyson (a a long-time catalyst of start-ups in IT in the US), Tanushree Deb Burma (Director, IT and BT, Government of Karnataka), Anirudh Sharma (Co-Head, MIT Media Lab India Initiative), Abhinav Chaturvedi(VP, Accel Partners, Ramesh R (Venture Capitalist, Artiman Capital)

Amrita TBI PitchFest event will be held over two days(Jan 9-10) at the Bangalore campus of Amrita University. On Day-1, the top 30 selected startups will go through a free one day Acceleration program from a renowned Accelerator which will be followed by a selection of the top startups On Day-2, the top startups will pitch in front of an elite panel of investors and C-level executives.

The format of Amrita TBI Pitchfest will comprise of two parts for a total of 20 minutes:

  • A 10 minute time slot for pitching the idea.
  • A 10 minute time slot for questions by the panel.


Top three contenders will be announced and will qualify for a total seed investment of USD 100,000 by Amrita TBI.

Amrita TBI will complete the required due-diligence on the finalists and provide seed investments for qualified startups. Amrita TBI will provide infrastructure and incubation services at low cost across three cities- Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Kollam.The startups can also opt to be a virtual incubatee and can operate from anywhere in India.

All non-finalists have the opportunity to avail incubation facility at any of Amrita TBI locations.
