Hands-on Workshop on Productization & Commercialization

The program featured expert-led sessions on entrepreneurship, startup creation, product development, and commercialization strategies. Participants were introduced to practical tools such as the Lean Startup Canvas, enabling them to identify customer needs, define value propositions, and develop sustainable business models. The workshop also highlighted various funding opportunities available through government agencies, innovation schemes, and startup support programs. A special session by Balaji V provided valuable insights into entrepreneurship, innovation management, and startup ecosystem development.

A major highlight of the workshop was the hands-on pitch deck preparation session, where participants learned how to effectively present their ideas to investors, funding agencies, and incubation centers. Faculty members received guidance on refining their research concepts, assessing market potential, and developing investor-ready startup pitches.


Key Outcomes

  • 36 startup pitch decks were submitted by faculty members representing six campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
  • Seven selected teams presented their startup ideas before an expert panel and received constructive feedback.
  • Startup concepts were proposed across diverse sectors including healthcare, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, robotics, and renewable energy.
  • Participants gained practical knowledge of startup development, commercialization strategies, and investor engagement.
  • Several promising projects were identified for further mentoring and potential incubation through Amrita TBI.
